The Genealogy Club meetings often include a program or video followed by a discussion and sharing of ideas, resources, and advice.  On occasion, a member of the group will provide the program for the group.
 
If a webinar or other online tool is used it will be posted to the Club's Facebook Group within a few days of the meeting.  The Club's Facebook site can be found as a "group" on the Library's Facebook site.
 
They meet the 2nd Tuesday of each month in the Board Room on the lower level of the Library.

This month's original program has changed so we are going to meet in Special Collections and attempt to use what we learned from Dana Palmer's presentation in April using Chronicling America.  You can also use this wonderful facility to research your family history.  If you have questions - ask a friend - we will be able to help each other!

Cemetery Invasion  (Chapter Meetings)
To Be Determined
Weather permitting we will get together at a local cemetery chosen by our Cemetery Chair.  This was a successful event in 2024 and we are bringing it back!  Time will be determined as well.  We may meet earlier if a beautiful, sunny day.
 
This program could be outside in a cemetery or meeting at the library to work on the computer end of getting things completed.  More information to come.

Software for Your Family Tree  (Chapter Meetings)

Join us as various members will talk about the different softwares available to keep track of the data we find on our families.  The 3 main software titles will be discussed:  Family Tree Maker, Legacy Family Tree, and RootsMagic. We will speak about 10-15 minutes about each program and then possibly break up into small groups for whichever program you use or may think about using.

Cleveland Public Library is offering a free day of learning from professional genealogists, librarians, and archivists at the Main Library. 
 
This is an annual event since 2024.  General information was copied from the 2024 event. 
It will be on a Saturday in October, but I don't want to post more than that until I know more. 
More information will be posted when it is available. 
 
This free event will offer something for beginning researchers, seasoned genealogists, and everyone in between.  Registration is required, and a free boxed lunch will be provided.
